Formation Games is a mobile studio building the next generation of sports management titles. Our team combines professional football experience with deep expertise in mobile and live service games, having worked on AAA and BAFTA-winning entertainment.

Our first title, CLUB, is a free-to-play football ownership experience that puts fans in control of building and running their own club. As we scale, we’re looking for ambitious talent who want to shape the future of sports gaming and build category-defining mobile games with us.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Formation Games is looking for a designer with strong 3D experience and art direction to support in developing the visual world and in-game assets for our mobile football game, CLUB. You will be the crucial tissue that connects feature concepts to them being received in-hand by players. You’ll take the lead on developing assets for features, live events in-line with the football and annual calendars to appeal to audiences around the world through to their delivery across campaigns.

As a start-up, this is a role with lots of growth opportunity and autonomy.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

• Own and evolve the visual language for in-game assets and live events, working to set the vision alongside UX/UI Lead and CMO.

• Work closely alongside the Senior Product Manager (Live ops & monetisation) to design and produce assets for in-game events and initiatives to drive engagement.

• Liaise and manage partners to support in our success with world class creative execution across game UI, cosmetics and campaigns.

• In success, own the visual language from game to external campaigns in collaboration with marketing team.

• Work with internal departments (product, tech) on ad-hoc basis to support across digital, social & physical design applications.
